The MoonBeam UltraLandConvention is intended as a doorway to the fantasy world of MoonBeam UltraLand- a world based on ideas about love, sex, romance and fairy-tales.

Amphii Rose, a devised fairy tale frog-princess, acts as a guide to MoonBeam Ultraland in the video element of the installation. The video is designed to be a bridge between video and performance; Amphii Rose interacts with the audience, point-of-view sequences transport the viewer and the rhythm of the moon acts as an interval between performances.

Additionally, there was a live ‘meet-and-greet’ with Amphii Rose amongst The MoonBeam UltraLand Convention imagery and props, including a series of roller banners.

Music: March from Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary, Henry Purcell / Just A Girl, No Doubt / Countdown, Beyoncé / Grown Woman, Beyoncé

The MoonBeam UltraLand Convention was commissioned by Rhythm Machineas part of the Edinburgh Festival Programme 2017.
